Cyber employment scams are a major problem and result in huge financial losses and personal data leakage for job seekers in Hong Kong and around the world. To intelligently detect and deter fraudulent recruitment advertising on social media, we combined the interpersonal deception theory from social science with natural language processing and machine learning to develop an AI-based detection system.
