RightPick is a platform utilising AI capability to give DSE students good recommendations for JUPAS programme selection, based on big data and comparison-based algorithm from 1 million+ data points provided by 5,000+ universities students and graduates.

We analyse and define the personality attributes and preferences of different types of students based on for example their expected or actual academic results, expectations of university life and careers, and other data. We use a multimodal approach, utilising voice, visual and text as a medium to develop AI to analyse and define the personality attributes and preferences of different types of students.

We use natural language processing (NLP) for keyword-based crawling of recruiting websites to capture the latest occupation requirements and trends, as well as data from recruiting firms, to match it with our users’ attributes. We also use AI social media analysis to examine the long-term behaviour data of users to improve the accuracy of the attributes collected. Facial expression recognition AI is used to increase the accuracy, based on the student's feelings predicted from camera-captured facial images while they answer the questionnaire. Finally, RightPick recommend the 20 best fit JUPAS programmes according to the character and needs of the users.
