Leidenford Limited

The core interest of Leidenford Limited is to potentially solve the freshwater storage in remote areas and mobile farming, particularly in low-humidity areas. Atmospheric water (consisting of clouds, fog, and water vapour) can provide a huge, natural and renewable reservoir of fresh water, estimated to be equivalent to 5.2 billion Olympic-sized pools (about 12,900 km3), which opens up a new way for us to obtain water and alleviate the human water-shortage crisis.

Leidenford Water Generator (LWG) combines a high-performance composite sorbent and an energy-efficient technique, achieving multiple cycles of the fast adsorption and desorption kinetics per day to produce fresh and clean water. Our modularised and multicycle LWG, in the form of an array network, can produce at least 100 litres of freshwater per day. Our project aims to diversify freshwater sources for the world by designing a decentralised, modularised, low-cost, and low energy consumption freshwater production system.
