Mr Steve Yeung is an acclaimed product design expert with over 20 years of product design and development experience. He was awarded the PolyU Distinguished Design Alumnus of the Year and the Honorary Fellow of the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong (IDSHK) in 2022. With winning over 30 international design awards and owning product patents, Mr Yeung co-founded the product design firm INNOSPHERE which specialises in new product development (NPD) and product branding that supports Hong Kong corporates and start-ups with customised design strategies.

Mr Yeung is proactive in liaising with business organisations to promote design industries. Mr Yeung is the former President of the Industrial Designers Society of Hong Kong, the former EXCO of the Design Council of Hong Kong, and now the EXCO of the Startup Council of Hong Kong; both are subsidiaries of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI).

Mr Yeung is invited as the mentor of the Incubation Program of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park (HKSTP), coaching start-ups with professional advice on human-centered product development and practical knowledge on tech productisation.

Since 2015, Mr Yeung has been the Judge of the James Dyson Awards. He has the mission to promote this international design competition to universities and students, and select the best entries from Hong Kong to enter the international round.

Since 2005, Mr Yeung has been the Visiting Lecture of the School of Design, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and recently the Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Warwick in the U.K. to share his industry knowledge and experience in product innovation.

Mr Yeung earned his Master's Degree, MA in Automotive Design, from Coventry University, U.K. (2001) and his First Degree in BA (Hons) in Industrial Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (1998). He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, U.K.
