Mr Hui was a CityU graduate in year 1991 with an Honor Degree in Business Studies.

His company owns a well-known retail brand “ecHome” with over 30 branches across the city for providing a diverse range of electric, household and lifestyle products at affordable prices.

He has served CityU and the society with great generosity. He was the Co-Founder and former Chairman of the CityU Eminence Society; which was established by a group of supportive and senior alumni committed to contributing to the University and the community. He has also served as mentor, committee member and advisor for various CityU programmes. He was conferred an Honorary Fellow in 2014 and the Distinguished Alumni Award by CityU in 2021 and currently a Court Member.

Mr Hui is the Director of GS1 Hong Kong and Chairman of its SMEs Advisory Board that aims to enhance the competitiveness and efficiency of local SMEs in supply chain management and e-commerce. He was also the President of Lions Club of Metropolitan Hong Kong and Chairman of the Chinese Entrepreneurs Organisation.
