CEO, Eureka FinTech Limited
Mr Chang Hwa-Ping is the CEO of Eureka FinTech Limited and aims to develop Eureka FinTech to be a pioneer in providing innovative AML/KYC and Compliance solutions to financial institutions across Asia via its comprehensive financial services platform and bespoke consulting services.
Mr Chang is also an adjunct professor in City University of Hong-Kong for MBA programme, a technician (associate professor level) in Fu-Jen Catholic University to teach EMBA courses and a part-time lecturer in the Chinese University of Hong-Kong to teach in Master of Finance programme.
Mr Chang was a senior consultant for Shin Kong Financial Holding Co., Ltd. based in Taipei and Hong Kong to support the related business development and strategy in the group.
Mr Chang has around 20 years of working experience with various banks, including Wells Fargo Bank, Industrial Bank of Taiwan, Societe Generale, Commerz Bank, and J.P. Morgan. During his tenure in Tokyo, he was awarded Best Asian Securitization Deal of the Year by Euromoney, Asia Money, The Asset, and FinanceAsia magazines. In 2014, he joined Wells Fargo Bank and managed the risk and growth of Wells Fargo’s business with financial institutions and public sector entities in China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. In 2009, he joined Taiwan Ratings Corporation, Taiwan’s first and leading credit rating services organisation, where he served as CEO role until 2014, when he joined Wells Fargo. In 2007, he became a managing director at Wachovia Securities in Hong Kong, where he led the Structured Product and Securitization Team and opened the Asian securitization market in China, Taiwan, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Mr Chang has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the National Cheng Kung University in Taiwan. He also holds the following licenses: American Securities License (Series 7), Hong-Kong Securities License (Paper 1), Japanese Securities Sales License (Grade 1) for bank, Japanese Securities Sales License (Grade 1) for security, and Taiwan Trust License.
