Q1 Do I need to register for this event?
Answer Exhibitor information will be accessible from 15 to 26 March 2021 on this Event platform without requiring any registration. Students who are interested in participating in scheduled programmes like Recruitment Talks and Job Search Skills Sessions etc., and/or enjoying free career consultation with CV polishing services, must register through CRESDA in AIMS.
Q2 When will be the registration deadline of activities of the Fair? When will I receive the confirmation for my registration?
Answer The registration deadline of programme including Recruitment Talks and Job Search Skills Sessions and Executive Chatrooms is one working day at 5pm prior to the activities. For example, if the Job Search Skills Session and Executive Chatroom by The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries to be held on 16 March 2021 (Tuesday), the registration deadline would be 15 March 2021 (Monday) at 5pm; if the Recruitment Talk by Hong Kong Fire Services Department which to be held on 15 March 2021 (Monday), the registration deadline would be 12 March 2021 (Friday) at 5pm. A confirmation email with Zoom link of the session will be sent to students who have registered the above-mentioned activities one day prior to the event.
Q3 Is this a hiring event?
Answer Yes, the Event includes Job Expo which provides opportunities for CityU students to meet and network with our valued employers.
Q4 Where will the event be held?
Answer This is an online Event. CityU students can participate anywhere when they have internet access.
Q5 How to contact with the employers?
Answer Students can check the contact information of the employers on each company page. For companies who will be hosting a Recruitment Talk / Job Search Skills Session and Executive Chatroom, students are welcome to interact with employers during the Q&A session.
Q6 The times for the programme are not convenient for me. Can I still participate in the event?
Answer As for the scheduled programme, interested CityU students should register in advance and login to the sessions during particular timeslots. NO RECORDED VIDEOS will be available after the sessions.
Q7 Is a webcam required?
Answer We highly recommend all the CityU students to connect a webcam when taking part in some sessions like Recruitment Talks and Executive Chatrooms, which will be a valuable chance for the CityU students to have video chats and interactions with employers.
Q8 Is this event open to all CityU students?
Answer Yes, we welcome all CityU students to take part in the online Job-Expo and Live Webinars including Job Search Skills Sessions and Executive Chatrooms, Recruitment Talks etc. For Career Preparation Workshops, it will be separately arranged for 1) Associate Degree, Undergraduates, and Research Postgraduate Students and 2) Taught Postgraduate Students. Q9 How can I learn more about the job vacancy information? How to submit online application?
Answer Most of the companies which provide job vacancy will also share the enquiry telephone number and/or email on their booths. To submit online applications, students please send the required documents to the employers DIRECTLY by emails or any other methods suggested by corresponding companies.
Q10 How can I follow up on my submitted online job applications?
Answer Participating employers will start processing the applications received as soon as possible. Since the webpages for the online Job Expo will no longer be displayed after the Event, CityU students who wish to check the progress of their application should record the contact information, such as phone number, email address and job details of the corresponding employers for future enquiry and job application before the end of the Event.
