Tiger Communication and Language Improvement Programme
(Tiger CLIP)
The Talent and Education Development Office (TED) first launched the Tiger Communication and Language Improvement Programme (Tiger CLIP) in Semester A, 2022-23. We will soon announce arrangements for Semester B, 2023-24. Please refer to the announcements for Semester B, 2023-24 via Canvas.
The Tiger CLIP works on a walk-in basis and in 2024 we will introduce a pilot to use Zoom as well. Tiger CLIP tutors – students from the Department of English trained in providing language and communication support – will be on hand to assist with Tiger students with their speaking and writing development in English and so improve their communication skills.
Tigers can take part in activities with Tiger CLIP Tutors, for example, to develop their fluency and confidence in expressing themselves clearly in English. They could also, for example, bring past assignment essays to understand how to improve their writing. Tutors will also be ready to engage them in other speaking or writing activities.
