Our Mission

Our mission is to create an environment that fosters pride and commitment among staff and students, transforming our campus into an inspiring, interactive, innovative learning-centric university. To support building a green campus that prioritizes environmental stewardship and sustainable practices by incorporating sustainable design principles, energy-efficient infrastructure, and promoting a culture of sustainability among the campus community. CityUHK ultimately aims to create a vibrant and inclusive campus that supports the holistic development of its students, fosters innovation and creativity, and contributes to the betterment of society locally and globally.

Our Role

At the institutional level, CDO is the University's central agent in:

  • Planning and developing campus buildings, buildings and grounds;
  • Preserving and safeguarding CityUHK's built asset and facilities;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory regulations and requirements;
  • Offering a peaceful, safe and sustainable campus to the University community.

From a user's perspective
CDO is a service delivery partner of the University community that is offering and managing a wide range of supporting services, allowing the University to function efficiently and effectively.
