Course Aims | ||||||||||||
This course combines CLA2501 (German 1) and CLA2502 (German 2) in a summer intensive course. It is designed to introduce German to students with no previous knowledge of the language. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to engage in small talk in German with the usual civilities and greetings, talk about themselves and others, shop for food and household items, order and pay in restaurants, talk about spare time and work activities, talk about housing and apartments, book hotels, visit a doctor and talk about health and body, write short emails, give and ask for advice. Students will be able to use the a German past tense (the "Perfekt" tense). | ||||||||||||
