Course Aims

This course is designed to help beginning students to communicate in basic German and to introduce some key cultural features of the German speaking world. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to talk about spare time activities, invite and join others, write simple emails and postcards, shop for household items, travel in German speaking countries and communicate in their hotels, talk about housing and apartments, body and health, consult a doctor. Students will be able to use the a German past tense (the "Perfekt" tense).
