The financial impact of basic pet care can weigh heavily on socioeconomically disadvantaged groups. Solutions are needed to avoid depriving low-income households from pet ownership and/or negative animal welfare outcomes in all Hong Kong's communities.
About the Programme
In collaboration with the CityU Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences, the Centre for Animal Health and Welfare (CAHW) is committed to supporting socioeconomically disadvantaged communities and to promoting pet welfare through the Veterinary Community Outreach Programme (VCOP). Equipped with a mobile veterinary unit and dedicated professionals, we strive to complement and extend the work of established local stakeholders through collaborations that benefit the community. For program brochure, please click here.
