Our Professor Li Qiusheng has been awarded the General Research Fund (GRF) 2022-2023

We are delighted to announce that our Professor Li Qiusheng has been awarded the General Research Fund (GRF) 2022-2023 with his project entitled “Nonstationary stochastic tropical cyclone model for regional wind hazard assessment under global warming”.
 
This project aims to develop a new physics-guided nonstationary tropical cyclone hazard model and assess future nonstationary tropical cyclone wind hazards in Hong Kong and Guangdong under global warming. The impact of global warming on extreme tropical cyclone wind hazards will be predicted and analyzed.
