Congratulations to Professor HUANG Gongsheng for awarding the General Research Fund (GRF) 2022-2023 with his project entitled "Air-layer-integrated ceiling radiant-cooling panels for hot and humid climates: system dynamics, control and energy performance".
 
This project aims to develop an innovative radiant cooling technique, which can enhance the cooling capacity using a much lower cooling temperature while simultaneously avoid condensation on the air-contact surface. Together with a dedicated outdoor air system, this condensation-free radiant cooling technique is able to significantly reduce the energy use of buildings in hot and humid climates.
