Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs)
The Southeast Asia Research Centre of the City University of Hong Kong has Memos of Understanding (MoUs) with the following major centres for the study of Southeast Asia. These MoUs promote academic exchange and further the development of cooperative arrangements between the two centres, which include exchanges of academic research personnel, administrative personnel, and students; scientific research collaboration and other issues of cooperation.

- Area Study Centre, Far East & Southeast Asia, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan, signed in March 2015
- Asia Research Centre (ARC), Murdoch University, signed in February 2015
- The Sydney Southeast Asia Centre (SSEAC), The University of Sydney, signed in February 2015
- ASEAN Studies Center, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia, signed in January 2015
- Institute of Asian Studies, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei, signed in January 2015
- Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Institute of East Asian Studies, Thammasat University, Thailand, signed in January 2015
- Centre of South East Asian Studies, the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, United Kingdom, reactivated in February 2014
