4. Streams of Specialization (Optional)

All students, except for Joint Degree students with Columbia University, can choose to graduate with a stream by completing at least 4 courses (12 credits units) of the courses listed under the corresponding stream.  All courses listed are core electives other than LT3234.  Each student is only allowed to declare one stream of specialization.  Declaration will be made with the Department in the graduating semester.  The stream will be recorded in the transcript of studies of students upon completion of the degree.

LT3234Language and Cognition3LT3234 is a College-specified course. As such, LT3234 cannot be used to fulfil the requirements of both GE College-specified courses and the Mind and Brain stream. An additional College-specified course needs to be taken if LT3234 is to be used to fulfil the Stream requirement.

Note:
**Students of second major and students changed to the major (only applicable to normative 4-year degree students and students admitted with Advanced Standing I) will follow the Advanced Standing I curriculum and will be required to take one designated Foundation-year course, i.e. SS1101 (3 credit units).

Students taking Psychology as a 2nd major are required to complete all core courses except SS4708 Research Project in Psychology (i.e., 30 credits), and to take 18 credits in elective courses.
