Life is often full of challenges for the elderly; it is not always easy for others to appreciate what they have to go through without experiencing it first-hand. With the help of Virtual Reality (VR) technology, now everyone can experience what it is like to face the same challenges many elderly people face, through various VR games designed to recreate them.

This experience consists of three games: "Cooking Grandma", "Pill Picker" and "Where's (my) Wallet". In these games, the player assumes the identity of an elderly person who lives alone and has to cook, sort medicine, and go out alone. These tasks may sound trivial, but as an elderly person, the player has to deal with various challenges, such as impaired vision and hearing. To simulate dementia, the game may scramble the instructions and hints. These are common problems elderly people face, and they make the tasks much more difficult than they seem. We hope this experience will allow players to better appreciate the hardships elderly people face in their daily lives.
