Fit Test Service

The LSU offers a fit test service using the PortaCount™ Respirator Fit Tester 8048. Lab users who require the use of the following tight-fitting respirators shall perform a fit test prior to use:

Respirator masks include but are not limited to N95 respirator masks, R95 Particulate Respirator, etc.
Full face respirators
Half face respirators

You are welcome to bring your own respirators or use the ones provided by our unit for the fit test. Please note that our unit can only conduct fit tests for the following full/half facepieces:

3M™ Half Facepiece 6000 Series
3M™ Full Facepiece 6000 Series
3M™ Half Facepiece 7500 Series
3M™ Full Facepiece 7800 Series
3M™ Full Facepiece FF-400 Series
3M™ ScottTM AV-3000 Series Full Facepiece

PortaCount™ Respirator Fit Tester 8048

Our unit cannot conduct fit tests for other full- or half-face respirators other than those listed above.
