Biography
Dr Lorenz graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 and began her professional career working in mixed practice. Soon after, she pursued further training by completing internships in New York and Sydney. After completion of the internships, she worked as an emergency veterinarian in different Sydney referral hospitals.
She continued her specialist training at the University of Liverpool, UK, where she completed a residency program in small animal surgery from 2011-2014. Nina returned to Australia, Western Australia where she joined a private referral clinic for 18 months.
Nina returned to Sydney where she was offered a clinical position at the University Small Animal Teaching Hospital from 2016 to early 2019. In 2018, Nina became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Surgeons (ECVS).
From 2019 to 2020 Dr Lorenz joined one of Sydney's leading specialist hospitals as a mobile surgeon prior to relocating the Northern Rivers Region in NSW, Australia where she currently operates her own business as a mobile specialist surgeon, servicing the local hospitals.
She has published in Veterinary and Comparative Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery and Veterinary Record.
Dr Lorenz continues puts emphasis on continuing education nationally and internationally to keep abreast of the latest developments in her field.
