The mission of City University of Hong Kong Press is to explore and extend the intellectual resources of the University and other academic communities by publishing and distributing scholarly works. To help us fulfil this mission in the year of the pig, we will be extending our distribution network to include North America, Canada, and Taiwan. We have the pleasure of collaborating with Independent Publishers Group (IPG) to distribute our English publications in the North American and Canadian markets, and Sanmin Book Limited to distribute our Chinese publications in the Taiwan market. We are looking forward to providing a comprehensive supply of books that cater to the readers in these expanded markets.
IPG was founded in 1971 and was the first organization specifically created for the purpose of representing titles from independent presses in the book trade. IPG distributes largely, but not exclusively, for independent publishers
