Application Procedures and Details

  1. Students are required to fill in
    1. an e-application form,
    2. and to submit an approval form (scanned copy of the form to Talent and Education Development Office of CityUHK (gateway.edu@cityu.edu.hk) through email by 5:00 pm, 10 December 2024.
    First-come-first-serve basis according to the date and time of the e-application form received. Talent and Education Development Office will forward the supported applications to HKBU. Students will be informed of the application result by the home institution.
  2. Application for courses NOT on the above lists will NOT be accepted for processing.
  3. Students enrolling in a course are required to participate fully in the course, which includes completion of coursework and examinations, if applicable.  Students should observe the rules and regulations provided by HKBU course registration.
  4. All the credits gained can be counted as fulfilling the University's requirements for undergraduate degree studies unless otherwise specified by the department.
  5. Students who wish to drop/withdraw from the course should submit their request with justifications in writing Course Drop Form directly to HKBU for processing.
  6. Failure to show up at registered class without proper notification will be subjected to actions deemed appropriate by both institutions.

Course Registration, Examination and Grade Results

  1. Students will be informed of course registration and examination details by HKBU.
  2. Successful applicants are advised to apply for a JULAC card from their home institution for access to HKBU’s Library.
  3. Requests for withdrawal from a course should be submitted by 4:00 pm, 20 January 2025. Late applications will normally not be entertained. No replacement of courses is allowed after withdrawal of the original course.
  4. Grade result sheet/transcript will be sent to the student through Talent and Education Development Office. The Academic Regulations and Records Office (ARRO) will be notified to record the credits gained as transferred credits in the student record.
