Dr. Yuan currently serves as an Assistant Professor at Department of Biostatistics at City Univeristy of Hong Kong. He obtained his Ph.D. from Columbia Univeristy, under the supervision of Prof. Samory Kpotufe and Prof. Tian Zheng. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Phil. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. Chun Yip Yau. His research interest lies broadly in the intersection of statistics and theoretical machine learning, including active learning, representation learning, time series analysis, dimension reduction etc.
