John Wong has been teaching at CityU since 1990. He specializes in Computers in Education, Web Authoring, Writing, English Syntax, Phonology and Phonetics. He has created a website dedicated to the practice of listening skills named Interactive Online Listening Assistant and a website dedicated to the review of grammar skills named Interactive Online Writing Assistant, which has become very popular. Some recent web projects he worked on include a one-page smartphone-friendly website for students taking the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course, and an ELSS app created for smartphone access that tests users' understanding of general English grammar and various academic writing issues.
