Miss ZHANG Yan

Hi, friends. I’m Yan, a year 3 student major in system engineering and management. I have been studying in CityU for two years and living in hall 9 for one year long. It is my great pleasure to be part of hall 9 and selected as a member of the Hall Scholar Team.

I always believe that university life should not only be limited in class. Apart from social activities, participate in hall life is also a good way to enrich your university experience. During my stay in hall 9, I have been activated in several attractive hall activities. PEK is the one that impresses me the most. Whatever is being the athlete or being one of the cheering team, it makes you feel the team’s power and you will be proud of your hallmates. Also, I was the helper of several hall activities, like the Wuddies Party, Poon Choi Feast, and the beach cleaning. Being participate in these group activities will make you know your hallmates more and the same, let more hallmates to know you. It is a good way to make friends and contribute to the inter-hall relationship. I also was the organizer of two SIA activities. The process was fun when you were busy preparing something meaningful to your fellows.

You can surely benefit from exploring more among the fruitful hall activities. But a really important principle to bear in mind is to be friendly and respect others. This principle is the fundamental of participating. Building a harmony and cozy living place needs everyone’s efforts.
