Jockey Club Harmony Hall (Hall 7) Scholarships
Miss WANG Zhiyu
The residential life in Jockey Club Harmony Hall consists of an indispensable and colorful part of my university life. As I spent most of my school life in mainland before with a quite different pattern of education, I tend to get exposure to a much more multicultural atmosphere and learn to get well along with others. One of my favorite part of hall life is to have dinner with our neighbors regardless their gender, nationality or age and all we have is equality and joy.
Floor gathering
To fit in with the big family here, I find it necessary to actively join in different kinds of hall activities. From participating in a small floor meeting to helping organize a festival booth on behalf of Hall7, a sense of belonging and pride can be developed gradually. I strongly encourage all of the residents to contribute to their community, no matter how little. Only in this way can we realize group cohesion cultivation and truly feel culture integration. At the same time, new skills can be learnt like photography, swimming, singing and so on. It’s a great chance to embrace challenges and try new things that have never been done.
I never thought that I would gain so much happiness and make so many true friends here. Student residence symbolizes more than just a place for accomodation but as a home, warmest harbor for comfort and support
