Living in Hall 5 this year has provided me lots of opportunities to gain more life experience. I was lucky to meet a lot of new friends here and I treasure the time we spent together. Also, as a member of Hall 5 Residents Association this year, I was able to learn multiple skills which may be helpful for my future career, like how to organize different activities for our residents, as well as how to handle my relationship with others and to achieve better time management.

As a member of the RA, although sometimes we may argue or fight over some issue about the activities we had held past year, we always settle everything down through conversation and understanding, in order to achieve our common goal – Serving our hall’s residents. Thus, I would not say perfect, but I think we really did a great job last year to provide an enriching hall life to our residents, which is something I really proud of.

If you ask me are there any tips to enjoy the fruitful hall life, I will say that be more out-going. Don’t be shy to introduce yourself to others and just have fun with your hallmates. It doesn’t matter where you came from or how old you are, as long as you are determined to find new friends here and not to be obstructed by being shy to new people, then everything is going to be fine! Also, if you are eager to make contribution to your another home as well, consider joining Residents Association like me or simply ask your hall’s RTs for help and organize your own activities to your hallmates. I’m sure there are plenty of opportunities for you to grab on.

Overall, from my perspective, Hall 5 is a great place for everyone to meet friends, to play and enjoy hall life.
