Alumni Civility Hall (Hall 3) Jump Scholarships
Mr. Tsang Hing Cheung
I have lived in Alumni Civility Hall for more than two years. It is an honor that I have been awarded as one of the Best Students in hall. It makes me feel hall as my second home and what I have put in effort were worthy and memorable.
In these two years, I have been one of the residence association executive members of hall 3, it was a great challenge for me as I have never organized and handled events before. Although the post has increased my burden among studies and play, I have known more friends like my hallmates, people from other hall and especially my partners of the residence association. I can hardly imagine my hall life without them, we have gained many fruitful memories and all those memories has strengthen our bonding. I am thankful and treasure to have them in most of my hall life. However, some of them has started a new chapter of their life, but they will not dilute our relationships.
Actually, because of those sport competitions, my life became richer and more colorful than before. In conclusion, it’s really my fortune to meet my team members and have them be alone with me during last year. I had a really interesting and happy hall life.
Apart from the people I have met, I have organized several events during my previous hall life such as Poon Choi Feast and High Table Dinner. It looked fresh and challenging to me as I have never held a huge event like that. Luckily that we have help and support from each other to go through the obstacles. Although they were many troubles and accidents took place when we were holding the events, I have gained much experience in organizing events than other residences. Moreover, it has enhanced my social skills, broaden my horizon and usage of different languages.
Being an executive member of the residence association was an unforgettable to me. But on the other hand, the inter hall sport competition – Professor Edmond Ko Cup has taken the second place in my hall life. Every year, there were different kinds of sports competition compete with other hall. And I am a swimmer, I have applied for being one of the participants to join the aquatic competition by representing hall 3. Though we have never won a medal from the aquatic competition, it was my honor to be one of the competitors in it to help our hall in gaining a good position in overall result. No matter we won or lose, we would shout out slogan to elevate our moral. And last year, we have gained our best result in the fourth place.
Without my hall life, I cannot imagine who I will be after these two years. Thank you Hall 3 for what you have gave me. I am pleased that I was once a resident of Alumni Civility Hall.
