Alumni Civility Hall (Hall 3) Jump Scholarships
Miss Liu Ying, Ria
Since I first entered university, I have lived in Hall 3. From the beginning, our hall showed me its atmosphere: happy, wild and free. This is why I am willing to actively participate in activities and contribute to my hall as much as I can. At the same time, I want to thank my hall for providing us with such an opportunity to let everyone play to their strengths.
My most precious time is when I performed on the Mid-Autumn Festival and Spring Festival. At first, I only applied for welcome party performance. But the hall tutor recommended me to SRO for mid-autumn festival. I really treasured this opportunity because I always want to have a chance to bring the Chinese traditional dance to international activities and let more people to feel the beauty of Chinese traditional costumes. I often rub my knees on the floor to practice dancing, so they get swollen. But the applause and applause from the audience made my effort worthwhile.
I also cherish the time when our dormitory team trained together for the table tennis match. At that time, a good table tennis instructor accompanied me every day until 12 o'clock. At that time, on the court, they drew 2:2 on several occasions.
I remember that in every game our players came together to cheer on each other, because every victory seemed impossible. But we still made it to the semi-finals, which is our hall’s best place of the PEK. The tension of the game and the hard-won victory are still fresh in my memory, but the most unforgettable thing is that every teammate stays up late to train together.
Colorful dormitory life has brought me many happy times, but the most important thing is that I found my own value in these activities and realized many friends.
