What a great honor to be rewarded as the "Best Student"!
Honestly, returning points were the only reason I participated in all the hall activity at the very beginning of the first semester of 2018/19. I worked as the Art Director and also Floor representative for last year. At the start, I thought it would be a very hard time for me to keep a balance between and coursework and various kinds of hard activities.
However, much to my surprise, I learned a lot through hall activities. For example, as the Art Director, I not only learned how to make posters, videos and lift decorations but also how to be a leader to lead a very diverse team. I led the artist team to create a sense of home for hall residences by making 12 lift decorations, editing 3 promotional videos and making 20+ activity posters. Sincerely, making some artworks was a good way to relax from the intense study and life. PEK competition was also a very good hall activity to ease my stressful mind. I strengthen myself and made a lot of friends just by taking part in sports activities and training.
It turned out that Hall activities were not as boring as I think. On the contrary, they were quite interesting. Personally, I don't think there was too much conflict between participating in hall activities and studying, because even I participated a lot, I got a 4.3 GPA last semester. Love Hall3 forever!
