Residence Tutor 2024/25

High-caliber PG and senior UG students, with a heart in providing pastoral care to fellow residents and dedication in serving the hall, are warmly invited to learn about the experience shared by current Residence Tutors (RT) and take up these voluntary services as Residence Tutor (RT) 2024/25 at the brand-new Student Residence at Ma On Shan (MOS).

While the new Residence Masters are working on the hall culture and year plan, they look for RTs:

  • PG students to serve in PG halls (Hall 12/13)
  • Senior UG students to serve in UG halls (Hall 14 – 17)

Session3

Eligibility

Full-time UGC-funded RPG & UG senior-year students normally possessing a CGPA of 3.0 or above, including:

  • Nominative 4-year undergraduate students: have completed a minimum of 60 credit units
  • 4-year undergraduate Advanced Standing I students: have completed a minimum of 30 credit units
  • 4-year undergraduate Advanced Standing II students

* Student from one-year PCLL will be also considered.

Terms of Services

Service Period 2024/25

RT is expected and required to serve a whole residential year from:

  • UG Halls (Hall 14-17@ Ma On Shan):
    15 July 2024 - 14 July 2025
    (move-in RT room on 15 July 2024)
  • PG Halls (Hall 12-13@ Ma On Shan):
    15 July 2024 - 16 August 2025
    (move-in RT room on 15 July 2024)



Session4

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants interested in RT position are expected to:

  • Give consent to SRO in obtaining one’s CGPA and approaching referee directly on one’s suitability as RT
  • Report duty as stated in the Terms of Services
  • Attend RT Composite Workshop on 18, 19 and 23 July 2024*
  • Attend RT Leadership Training Day on 22 August 2024*

* All dates listed above are tentative subject to further announcement.

Fill and submit the online application form (Click here) between 20 - 31 May 2024 23:59 (Both days inclusive). Late submission will not be entertained.

Interview Period

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interview from mid-June to 28 June 2024.

Result Announcement

Early July 2024
