Smoking, Drinking & Noise

Smoke-free environment:
1.
The University is a smoke-free campus. Smoking on campus is an offence in law and could attract a fine of HK$5,000. Smoking is strictly forbidden in any part of the student residence.
2.
Many residents have great concern about smoking in public areas, including the lawn by the Multi-function Hall A, and feel upset with cigarette butts left on the lawn. Be considerate of other residents' feelings and support our non-smoking residence by not smoking.
Alcohol:
1.
Each resident is held responsible for ensuring that he/she monitors the intake of alcohol at any given time and avoids over-consumption.
2.
The University will not tolerate excessive alcohol consumption as an excuse for disruptive behavior or breach of hall rules. Continual excessive consumption of alcohol which causes disturbance to residents will be considered misconduct.
3.
You may approach your Residence Master or the Student Residence Office if you need assistance for your drinking problems.

1.
We aim to encourage the creation of a vibrant yet peaceful residence community through the development of respect and consideration towards others.

4.
While you are enjoying your leisure chats and laughter with others in public areas, such as the lawn area, common rooms and corridors, be aware of the noise disturbance which may be caused to your peers and refrain from creating such disturbance.
