Special Features:
Halls 12 and 13: Horizon

As the most distant plane where the sea and sky meet, horizon gives us a feeling that it is so unreachable despite being right before our eyes. It might look the same though it is evolving incessantly. Horizon, therefore, symbolises one’s desires and aspirations to be versatile and to accept new things despite being in a calm environment.

As researchers and postgraduate students, you are indubitably passionate in and fascinated by your research. Nonetheless, we should not overlook the bigger goal of education, which is to prepare students to be all-rounded person and future leaders.

Hall life is, therefore, not just about enjoying the comfort and peacefulness of the living environment, but it is about broadening our horizon to do something new and try those things which you believed are too unreachable. That is why student halls or resident colleges around the world emphasise immensely on co-curricular activities to enriching students’ learning experience. By joining those activities, residents have the chance to meet new friends, as well as improving their interpersonal and communication skills, leadership traits, and problem-solving abilities.

In Halls 12 and 13, we strive to facilitate hall mates to broaden your horizons through various sport, social, service and intellectual activities. By challenging yourself and pushing your boundary, you can identify your true potentials and become bold enough to step out of your comfort zone in future.

Let’s work hand-in-hand to make hall life joyful, memorable and fruitful.
