Virtual Reality: Physics Lab
Home

Introduction

A VR package with four first-year physics experiments was developed to provide a practical and effective learning experience to compensate for the limitations of in-person laboratory training during the pandemic.

VR Physics Lab is designed for engineering, veterinary medicine and life sciences students taking introductory physics courses. It includes four experiments and a data logger simulator that cover essential topics, including:

  • Conservation of Energy
  • Static and Kinetic Friction
  • Forces in Equilibrium
  • Simple Harmonic Motion

Students can become familiar with experimental settings and understand their underlying principles in this virtual environment before accessing the Physics laboratories in person.
