Augmented Reality Mobile App
Chemicals in our Environment: Friends or Foe
Home

Introduction

It is no shocking news that potentially dangerous chemicals may be identified in every room of your house. Common household items such as detergents, paint, cleaners, and furniture can contain more dangerous chemicals than you have ever imagined. When these household toxicants are not properly stored or used, they can cause you and your family harm, from minor to severe and even life-threatening health problems.

The AR mobile app, Chemicals in our Environment: Friends or Foe, intends to create a gamified learning AR environment where relevant chemicals are hidden in the household for best discovery and learning outcomes. In an ordinary three-bedroom apartment divided into four different settings - the living room, the bedroom, the kitchen, and the balcony, you will have a chance to learn more about some of the potentially hazardous chemicals along the journey interactively.
