Thank you for your interest in the Online Pre-arrival Information Session for Non-local Students! This informative session has been specifically designed to provide you with essential details and insights to ensure a smooth transition to Hong Kong and make your stay here comfortable and hassle-free. By attending this session, you will gain an understanding of the Chow Yei Ching School of Graduate Studies (SGS) and the services we provide. Additionally, you will receive anti-spam information, including tips and cases shared by the Hong Kong Police Force to protect yourself from spam, phishing attempts, and online scams. Furthermore, you will hear insights from Current Students who have successfully acclimated to life in Hong Kong. They will share practical information on various aspects of day-to-day living, such as obtaining a Hong Kong ID (HKID), acquiring telephone cards, dealing with phone spam, navigating internet shopping platforms, utilizing transportation options, finding reliable hospitals and doctors, securing housing, and taking advantage of university discounts for purchasing computers and electronic products. They will also provide useful specifications and recommendations for electronic devices commonly used by students.
