Bie Ju Centre for Mathematical Sciences Organized by Prof. Ya Yan LU and Prof. Wei Wei SUN Adaptive Fourier Decomposition Date: Mar 08, 2011 (Tuesday) ABSTRACT: For a given function in the L2 or the Hardy space H2, one can achieve fast decompositions in energy into series of basic functions of which each has non-negative analytic phase derivative, or, alternatively, instantaneous frequency. The talk will compare several types of such decompositions together with their algorithms.
