for Solving Fredholm Integral Equations Date : September 28, 2005 (Wednesday)
Abstract: The integral equation method is an elegant
tool for transforming linear boundary value problems into boundary integral
equations. The boundary element method is a flexible discretisation technique
for solving these equations numerically. In the last twenty years, efficient
algorithms have been developed for overcoming the major bottlenecks of
this method: * Tea, coffee and cookies will be provided at the Faculty Common Room in B6501 before the colloquium from 4:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Please come and join us! ** All interested are welcome ** For enquiry: 2788-9816
