The Department has held an online Student Orientation on 24 August 2021 via Zoom to welcome the new coming undergraduate students joining the PHY family.
Professor Xun-Li Wang, Head of Department, expressed a very warm welcome to all the new students. Students were then briefed on important program information, including our BSc Physics major, the curriculum requirement, the minor program at CityU, the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program, the UG plus TPg Degree Programme, lab safety, student activities, student support network, etc.
Also, our PHY Student Ambassadors introduced themselves to the new students. They would also serve as peer consultants to help new students adapt to university life. Besides these, the Executive Committee members of the Physics and Materials Science Society encouraged the new students to meet new friends by joining their activities.
We wish all our new students a wonderful physics journey during their studies at CityU~
