This theme-based course aims to explore different styles, features, and genres of  literary and non-literary texts. Students will be engaged with a wide range of materials to understand how translation works in different contexts, thereby assisting students to develop skills needed for various translation activities. This course also aims to introduce basic principles and concepts in translation studies from both the modern and contemporary periods in order to help students develop their own strategies and styles in translation.
