Certificate Presentation Ceremony of the 4th “Enjoy Reading – Stories of Travelers” Joint Writing Contest

A certificate presentation ceremony was held on 6 Oct 2016 to recognize the achievements of the winning students of the 4th “Enjoy Reading – Stories of Travelers” Joint Writing Contest. 6 out of 9 CityUHK winners attended the ceremony and the Acting Librarian Professor Christian Wagner presented certificates to the following awardees:

Chinese Writing Section

1st Prize: JIANG Wan 蔣婉，College of Business 《歲月行者》
2nd Prize: HE Ruoqiu 何若秋，Department of Chinese and History 《金城牛羊肉香，還有信仰》
3rd Prize: CHEUNG Ka-Hong 張嘉康，Department of Chinese and History 《西湖夢尋》
3rd Prize: WANG Yuxiang 王宇翔，Department of Mechanical & Biomedical Engineering 《一頁臺北》
3rd Prize: TANG Wai-man 鄧慧敏，College of Business 《那年夏天》

English Writing Section

1st Prize: Ana Clara Oliveira Santos Garner, School of Creative Media. The Death Bus

The contest was co-organized by CityUHK Library, Shanghai University of Finance & Economics Library and Feng Chia University (SUFE) Library. In 2015/16, 100 entries were received and 31 entries were submitted by CityUHK students. The response was encouraging. The entries were judged by adjudicators from CityUHK and SUFE. Dr. Chan Hok-yin of Department of Chinese and History, Mr. Ivan Yeung Wang-tung of Department of Linguistics and Translation, and Ms. Xu Xi of Department of English were invited as adjudicators at CityUHK.
