“行者的故事”Story of Travelers

徵文要求：

讀萬卷書，行萬里路。本次徵文強調旅行與閱讀的關係，即：通過閱讀，可以加深旅行體驗；而在行走中，又能感悟閱讀之美，實現知行合一。
來稿須切合徵文主題，題目自擬，內容原創，體裁不限，中英文皆可，以不超過2000字為宜。

參與方式

  1. 參與對象：凡香港城市大學及上海財經大學的在校學生均可參加
  2. 投稿方式 ：
    • 網路投稿：請發送稿件至4readers@gmail.com
    • Email主題欄的內容按如下格式標注：“行者的故事徵文+學校+本人姓名”。
    • 稿件格式:
      • 中文稿件：
        • 標題（宋體，字號16）
        • 正文部分（宋體，字號11，單倍間距)
      • 英文稿件：
        • 標題（Times New Roman，字號16）
        • 正文部分（Times New Roman，字號11，單倍間距）
  3. 稿件結尾及電子郵件正文中須注明作者的真實姓名、所在學校、院系、年級、Email及聯繫電話等資訊。

活動時間：

即日起， 至2011年10月15日截止。

活動獎勵：

獲獎作者將由主辦方頒發獲獎證書，獲獎優秀作品可刊載在香港城市大學邵逸夫圖書館館刊以及上海財經大學圖書館館刊《讀者之友》上，並作為兩館特色館藏予以永久保存及展示。


Enjoy Reading  ● The Story of Travelers

 

Life is often regarded as a journey that is filled with happiness, growth, love, fear, and sometimes hardship. It is a remarkable
process during which we discover more about ourselves, others and the world we live in. Similarly, when we read and write,
we are concerned with self-discovery just as we are when we explore our dreams.

As a continuation of the Reading Promotion Programme in the year 2010 – 2011, the Library is launching a Writing Promotion Programme in this semester. As one of a highlighted programme,  Shanghai University of Finance & Economics (SUFE) Library and CityU Library are pleased to announce the writing competition “Enjoy Reading ．The Story of Travelers”. The competition opens to all SUFE and CityU students. Students are encouraged to write from their traveling experiences.

Reading, thinking, writing and dreaming are closely intertwined with life and its journey, so share with us your stories either on a travelling experience or a reflection on yours life’s journey.


Format of Entries

1. The entries can be in either Chinese or English, and in any form of writing such as prose, fiction or poetry.
     However, they must be original, unpublished works not exceeding 2,000 words.

2. For entries in Chinese: Title (SimSun, font size 16). Body (SimSun, font size 11, single line spacing).

3. For entries in English: Title (Times New Roman, font size 16). Body (Time New Roman, font size 11, single line
     spacing).


Submission of Entries

1. The entries should be submitted in MS Word format via email to 4readers@gmail.com.

2. Please state “Enjoy Reading ．The Story of Travelers” Writing Competition + University Name (short form) +
     Student Name in the subject of the email.

3. Please leave the detailed contact information, including the real name of students, name of affiliated university,
     department, year of study, email address and contact phone number in both the entry and email.


Prizes


Winners will be awarded with certificates. The awarded entries will be published in Du Zhe Zhi You (《讀者之友》) of SUFE Library and the Newsletter of CityU Library. Both Libraries will also showcase them as their featured collections.
