Library News: Outstanding Academic Papers by Students (OAPS) Certificate Awarding Ceremony
The Library is pleased to announce the Outstanding Academic Papers by Students (OAPS) Certificate Awarding Ceremony which will be held on Thursday, 12 April 2007.
OAPS is a joint initiative between the Library and the academic departments to collect students' quality papers, preserve them in digital format and share them within the University and beyond so as to provide perpetual access to our students' research output. April 2007 marks the second anniversary of the project, which receives strong support from academic departments.
With the dedication and support from academic departments, the Library has collected 40 best papers nominated by eight departments. As permissions were given by the authors, these papers were digitized and are made accessible to the University community via the CityU Institutional Repository http://dspace.cityu.edu.hk.

The Library is pleased to have Dr J T Yu, Chief Information Officer,
to give us a welcoming remark and Head or delegate of the following departments
to present certificates to their fellow students:

The Library is also honored to have Prof Richard Ho (Vice President for Undergraduate Education), Prof Lilian Vrijmoed (Dean of Student Learning), together with some students, to share their learning experiences and offer words of encouragement to our students.
In conjunction with the Ceremony, a selection of OAPS papers will also be displayed in the Library Lobby starting from 3 April 2007.
