The Exhibition
The theme of this exhibition was mainly based on the book U Tat Chee: The Ginger King in Post-War Hong Kong, published by CityU Press. The exhibition presented an overview of the housing, education, and industry conditions in the 1950s – 1960s using historically valuable images, publications, and maps. It also introduced the history of Tat Chee Avenue and Yau Yat Chuen, as well as the specific contributions of U Tat Chee to their development.
