Anybody who has seen a dog with demodicosis knows how potentially frustrating this disease can be. Treatment failure and disease recurrences are common. Dr David Robson, a veterinary dermatologist from the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre, will talk to us about various aspects of canine demodicosis, including the latest and very promising developments for treatment.
Dr David Robson graduated in 1992 from the University of Queensland. He worked in general practice for 6 years before spending the next 18 years in dermatology referral practice with the Animal Skin and Ear Specialists at the Melbourne Veterinary Specialist Centre. He gained his ANZCVS Fellowship and specialisation in dermatology in 2005. He has published and lectured extensively all over the world. His current research interests include methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus pseudintermedius and topical otic therapies. David is a foundation member and current treasurer of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists Dermatology Chapter.
