This course aims to introduce you to the various types of graphics associated with our living environment and the aspects of meanings behind them, and to develop a basic understanding of visual expression, its role in communication, and its problems.
Through different teaching and learning activities such as lectures, tutorial, seminars, trips, and project presentations, students will be able to identify the different types of graphical representation in use in daily life to describe our environment.
Instead of assessing students through a semester-end examination, continuous assessment will be used and will include the following tasks: in-class discussion, reflective reports, field work reports, and a final project with presentation. They will be distributed throughout the semester and will contribute to a more holistic evaluation of student learning.
