On top of basic knowledge learning through class studies, many talented college students self-educated themselves to follow state-of-the-art development of advanced science and technology, which pave the way for them to become future scientists. Tiger students learned some stories about successful scientists in the history, and personal experiences of Professor Guanrong (Ron) Chen. They also learned the importance of questioning in the research process and to seek their supervisor's guidance in setting their research direction. The fruitful talk was ended with a meaningful interaction between Professor Chen and participants.
