CityU Tiger Featured Talk: Enter The Matrix: How Engineering and Neuroscience Help You Become Better, Faster, and Stronger

In a recent featured talk hosted by the Talent and Education Development Office (TED), Professor Rosa Chan from the Department of Electrical Engineering delivered an inspiring message: “When there is an opportunity, go for it. Don’t be scared of changes.” The event was introduced by Professor Kenneth Lo, Director of TED, who welcomed the attendees and introduced Professor Chan as the guest speaker.

During her talk, Professor Chan shared her experience studying and travelling abroad through the support of different scholarships. Using a series of optical illusion examples as an introduction, she provided the audience with a glimpse into her fascinating research at the intersection of engineering and neuroscience, specifically in the field of neural interface. Her work in this area captivated the participants and sparked their interest in the exciting possibilities from the combination of these disciplines.

Professor Chan’s inspiring talk was followed by a lively question-and-answer session. The participants gained a deeper understanding of neuroscience and were encouraged to seize opportunities and embrace changes.
