Course Aims | ||||||||||
One of the difficulties of public policy is that there is no instant solution to most of the problems or challenges faced by the government. Public policy-making in most places is incremental, and very often, is a result of reactive responses to problems. Through cultural discovery, policy exploration, and experiential learning, this summer programme aims to train POL students to be critical and analytical about political and social issues, to think about possible solutions (and dilemmas) to problems and challenges, and to give creative suggestions for policy changes. | ||||||||||
