The major aims to provide students with solid research, quantitative and technology training in finance. Students can broaden their learnings by taking courses related with both Computational Finance and Financial Technology. In addition, students may opt for the two streams namely Computational Finance (ComFin) Stream, or the Financial Technology (FinTech) Stream to enhance student specific training in the stream. The ComFin stream prepares students for graduate studies in business and careers in the financial industry that require high-caliber quantitative and analytical skills. It gives students an interdisciplinary education in business. It includes training in mathematics, statistics, computer programming and finance. The FinTech stream prepares students for graduate studies in business and careers in the emerging FinTech industry that require solid technology training and finance domain knowledge. It gives students an interdisciplinary education in business, information technology, and innovation by training them in mathematics, statistics, programming, information systems, and finance. |
