Course Aims

This course aims to provide students with an understanding of housing and community development concepts and practices from an international perspective. It seeks to develop an understanding of various aspects and requirements to develop housing and community. Topics include history and theory of housing and community development, housing practices and urbanization, housing market and finance, and housing policy in Hong Kong and other countries. The course emphasizes the student’s ability to formulate special study areas in housing and community development and conduct case studies or special studies of the subject matter.
